Stopped by for the first time today and OMG...the best Caribbean food hands down in Hampton Roads. I had the Curry Chicken which was fantastic with the meat falling off the bone. The plantains were perfectly cooked. I'll definitely be back to try the jerk wings.

Great authentic Caribbean cuisine, me and my husband drove past the place another day and we returned to give it a try. Very friendly owners/chef, nice and clean restaurant. They have great selection on the menu. I ordered Jamaican jerk kitchen and my husband had deep fried snapper and both dishes came out well cook and seasoned. The chef brought me extra scotch bonnet sauce since I looked like I eat very spicy and he’s right. Anyway highly recommend if you would like to try a new place, also it’s cook to order so prepare for that unless you don’t have time probably better to call to order.

Went there to get something to eat for lunch and I was greeted at the door with a warm welcome. I could tell that they love what they do. They were very nice and welcoming. The love is in the food as well. I got the oxtail with rice and peas as well as cabbage. It was delicious and definitely satisfied my craving for comfort food. I would say they are the best in the area. Thank you!

Absolutely delicious Jamaican food! This is hands-down the best-tasting Caribbean cuisine I’ve had outside of New York and Florida. The curry goat was incredibly tender and flavorful, the rice and peas were clearly made with care, and the potato salad was a perfect creamy complement. I also tried the beef patty—fresh, flaky, and packed with flavor—and finished with a slice of red velvet cake that was moist and not overly sweet. The restaurant is cozy with a clean, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. You can tell they take pride in doing things the authentic way. This is a hidden gem in Virginia Beach, and I highly recommend checking it out before it blows up. Five stars, no question!

We lived in South Florida for 8 years and thought that this Jamaican food was right on par with what we had had down there. The people serving it up were extremely friendly and eager to please. The oxtail and jerk chicken were perfect

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ De’Flavour is what happens when Jamaican food loves you back. This was hands-down the best Jamaican/Caribbean food I’ve ever had. Every bite tasted like someone’s grandma personally wrapped my tastebuds in a hug and said, “You’re gonna be alright.” The food was HOT—and I don’t just mean spicy (though yes, that too ). It was fresh, bold, perfectly seasoned, and full of real, soulful flavor. The kind of food that makes you slow down mid-bite and rethink your life choices up to this point. On top of that, the customer service was unmatched. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there. You can tell they care about the food and the people eating it. If you haven’t been to De’Flavour yet, fix that immediately. Your stomach deserves better—and this is it.

This is a small and intimate place for an authentic Jamaican experience. The food was amazing and the staff was phenomenal. I literally felt like family and enjoyed every moment spent here. I’m in town for my birthday and I’m glad this was the first part for my birthday weekend. I definitely will be returning here soon. This KINGSTON JAMAICAN duo did not come to play!!! I love me some JAMAICAN food. And for the past few months, I have been on a RASTA PASTA hunt!! When I tell you, this is ONE OF THE BEST RASTA PASTA here in the SEVEN CITIES, the 757 and possibly the 804...BELIEVE ME!! I'm a foodie!! This was so good to me, I ate over half of my plate in my car. I went back in and ordered another one!! I woke up this morning and ate some of my second plate that I ordered!!! THIS IS IT!! The serving size was totally worth the money!! I will be back weekly as I do not live in the area!! Oan my oxtails were TASTY and MEATY!! Annnd my yams were very flavorful. That's one JAMAICAN MON that knows his way around the kitchen.
